Job Description

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Hospital and Integrative Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks candidates for a part-time clinical faculty, newborn hospitalist pediatrician. Salary, rank, and tenure status are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatrics. The incumbent will be clinically based in the newborn nursery. There may be opportunities for clinical and other responsibilities at other sites. All division members share call and weekend/holiday coverage of the general pediatric services. The position requires excellent clinical and teaching skills and experience necessary to precept residents and medical students. There are also exciting opportunities in the Division’s growing research, advocacy, and quality improvement activities.

The incumbent will be clinically based in the newborn nursery. There may be opportunities for clinical and other responsibilities at other sites. All division members share call and weekend/holiday coverage of the general pediatric services.
