Incarnate Word High School, an all-girls Catholic college preparatory school sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, seeks a dynamic and faith-filled Part-Time Choir Teacher. The teacher will provide high-quality vocal music instruction through one to two choir classes while developing and directing a student choir organization that supports the school’s liturgical, cultural, and community life.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Instructional Responsibilities:
- Teach one to two sections of Choir and/or Vocal Music.
- Develop curriculum aligned with Texas Fine Arts standards and IWHS academice expectations.
- Prepare syllabi, lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials.
- Foster student growth in vocal technique, music theory, performance skills, and artistic expression.
- Evaluate student performance through varied formative and summative assessments.
- Maintain accurate grades and attendance records using school platforms.
- Utilize technology and instructional strategies that engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
Choir Program Leadership:
- Establish and direct the IWHS Liturgical and Performance Choir.
- Recruit and retain student members from all grade levels.
- Coordinate choir performances for school liturgies, prayer services, assemblies, open houses, and special events.
- Collaborate with Campus Ministry to support the school’s Catholic identity through music ministry.
- Prepare students for community performances, festivals, competitions, and showcases as appropriate.
- Develop leadership opportunities for student choir officers and section leaders.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, retreats, and school functions.
- Collaborate with faculty, administration, and parents to support student success.
- Support school events and extracurricular activities as assigned.
- Uphold the mission and values of Incarnate Word High School.
