This Part-time CDL class A and backup Box Truck Driver position transports different types of goods from distribution centers to Cross Docks using a Tractor Trailer and filling in for our box truck drivers.

Pay and Schedule:

• $25.00 per hour
• Monday through Friday
• Approximately 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Start and end times may vary based on route, workload, and coverage needs
• Part-time

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Safely transport and deliver freight in a timely, efficient, and legal manner
• Hook and unhook trailers, secure freight, and install/remove tire chains as needed
• Load and unload freight, including lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying materials
• Complete required paperwork and maintain DOT-compliant records
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and DOT regulations
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine equipment inspections
• Report maintenance needs and equipment defects promptly
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
• Represent Meyer and the transportation industry in a professional manner
• Load and unload trucks using forklift and manlift
• Heavy lifting of 75+lbs.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of CDL Class A tractor-trailer driving experience (vehicles over 26,000 lbs.)
• Valid CDL Class A License with no restrictions
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Ability to meet all DOT medical and safety requirements, including drug and alcohol screening
• Acceptable background investigation results
• Ability and willingness to operate a forklift
