Job Description

Help keep one of the UK's leading maritime warfare training establishments operating at its best. In this hands-on role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment for military personnel, instructors, and learners by carrying out a range of cleaning and building maintenance activities across the site.

Job Description:

🕒 Part-time role – 15 hours a week (can be worked over 2 or 3 days)

📍 Plymouth

🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintain clean, safe, and professional facilities.
  • Carry out basic building repairs and maintenance.
  • Support site safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Assist contractors working on site.
  • Help keep the site operational during adverse weather conditions.
  • Update maintenance records and support planned maintenance activities.

What we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge of basic ground maintenance activities
  • Knowledge of basic building services and maintenance activities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels
  • Have at least a basic knowledge of computers and be capable of data entry
  • Driving license and own transport

This role would suit someone who has experience as a Caretaker or as a Janitor or someone who has recently left the services
