Shorelines Casino Thousand Islands is currently seeking a driven and energetic individual to join our growing business in eastern Ontario as a BUSPERSON. Under the supervision of the Sous Chef, this position is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, culinary equipment and utensils including all dishes, glasses and pots/pans while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Organizes, rinses, sprays and loads dishes/cutlery into dishwasher or washes by hand as required
Checks completed load for cleanliness and re-wash if necessary
Reports any malfunctions, breakage or discrepancies to the supervisor
Stores all clean items in the appropriate area
Sorts and removes garbage and recycling
Cleans all general kitchen areas including floors, counters and workspaces
Assists with the receipt of goods into the work area and stock shelves
Prepares some food products as requested
May clean general and common areas in some locations
Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
High School Diploma
Ability to exceed internal customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
Minimum 6 months work experience
Since the fun never stops at Shorelines, candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights, based on business needs.
