APCH serves more than 700 youth annually through holistic programming that includes academic support, arts, athletics, workforce development, and mental health services. In addition, APCH engages more than 12,000 community members each year through special events and community-based initiatives, all provided at no cost. Our 32,000-square-foot campus now features a wide range of dedicated spaces, including a teen center, athletic field, commercial kitchen, garden, dance studio, recording studio, art gallery, and theater, reflecting our evolution into a vital community hub.
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Administrative Services the Bus Driver will transport members for A Place Called Home as needed. The Part Time Bus Driver plays a vital role in supporting A Place Called Home's mission by providing safe, reliable, and positive transportation experiences for youth participating in educational programs, field trips, enrichment activities, and special agency events. More than a driver, this position serves as a trusted representative of APCH, helping create a welcoming and supportive environment where members feel safe, respected, and valued.
Working closely with the Transportation Assistant Manager and program staff, the Part Time Bus Driver ensures vehicles are safely operated and well maintained, transportation schedules run efficiently, and all state and agency safety requirements are followed. This role also provides operational support through vehicle inspections, basic administrative assistance, in-kind donation pickups, and collaboration across departments to help deliver exceptional programs and services to youth and families.
The ideal candidate is a dependable, safety-focused professional with excellent customer service and communication skills who enjoys working with young people and is committed to making a meaningful impact in the community.
