Requirements

Communication Clear, professional communication skills to interact with guests, teammates, and management. Ability to listen, confirm orders, and respond to guest needs promptly.

Technical Skills Comfort using POS systems, basic computer applications, and beverage/food preparation equipment. Ability to learn and follow Marriott brand standards.

Food Safety & Sanitation Ability to follow all food-handling, sanitation, and safety guidelines, including proper labeling, temperature control, and cleanliness standards. Food Safety Certification required.

Reliability & Availability Consistent weekend availability required. Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work independently during slower periods and collaboratively during peak times.

Multitasking Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, including order taking, beverage preparation, stocking, cleaning, and guest interaction.

Cash Handling Ability to accurately process payments, balance a cash drawer, and follow established financial control procedures.

Professional Appearance Maintains a clean, polished, professional appearance in accordance with hotel and brand grooming standards.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, move throughout the Bistro and lobby areas, and perform repetitive tasks such as beverage preparation.

Teamwork Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff, front desk, and management to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest experience.

Schedule: This is a part-time position which requires a flexible schedule including weekends, nights and holidays. Scheduled days off for this position fall on weekdays, generally midweek, to support consistent weekend coverage.
