Job Title: Art Teacher (Grades Preschool - 8)
Location: Holy Family Parish School, Peoria IL
Reports to: Principal
Job Type: Part Time( Apx. 2 days per week)
Holy Family Parish School is currently seeking a Preschool-8 Art teacher to inspire and educate students in faith and academics. About the Role
• The Art Teacher provides engaging and effective instruction in accordance with Catholic values including a love for beauty and creativity. This teacher helps grow disciples by fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that cultivates intellectual, spiritual, and emotional development through the appreciation and making of beautiful art.
What You Will Do
• Instruction: Plan and deliver dynamic art lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Materials: Gather and reuse art materials and keep shared spaces organized.
• Faith Integration: Incorporate Catholic teachings and values into daily instruction and activities.
• Student Engagement: Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture where students feel safe, supported, and motivated to achieve their best.
• Collaboration: Work with fellow teachers, parents, and administration to ensure student success and community building.
What You Need
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
• State teaching certification appropriate for grade level/subject area
• Commitment to Catholic values and the mission of Catholic education
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Top Candidates May Also Have
• Experience teaching in a Catholic school or faith-based setting
• Experience in producing and teaching others to create art
