Vermont State University seeks an experienced instructor to teach cross-listed ART-3015 Open Studio / ART-4015 Advanced Open Studio in the Fall 2026 semester at the Castleton campus.
This course is an exploration of ideas, materials and techniques for intermediate and advanced students in all studio art media, including, but not limited to: drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and digital, hybrid or analog photography. Other media may be considered in consultation with the instructor. Conceptual, aesthetic and critical issues will be addressed in the context of contemporary art and current studio practice. Open to majors, minors and non-majors.
Ideally, a candidate for this position should hold a Master’s of Fine Arts degree and have a record of professional exhibitions as well as experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
Salary:
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
