Part-Time Advance Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for Emergency Medicine services
Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) has an opportunity available for a part-time Advance Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) (“APP”) for Emergency Medicine services. The APP’s duties will include management of emergency department patients including examination, treatment, consultation, follow-up, referral, ordering ancillary services, and documentation. The APP will also participate in patient satisfaction programs, quality improvement initiatives and any organizational or departmental goals and objectives to assure safe, quality care.
The part-time APP will be on-shift while a full-time Emergency Medicine physician is also on shift. The part-time work in PSMC’s Emergency Department is twenty-four (24) hours per week -- three 8-hour on-site shifts from 10am to 6:30pm (30 minutes off for lunch) on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays for 46 weeks per year.

NPs must be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). PAs must be certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants.
