PART-TIME ADMINISTRATIVE INTEGRATION SPECIALIST / FAMILY ADVOCATE

Reports To: Pupil Personnel Services / Human Resources

Position Summary

The Part-Time Administrative Integration Specialist / Family Advocate provides administrative, project coordination, family advocacy, and implementation support for districtwide initiatives.

The position serves as a connection between families, schools, district departments, and community resources. The Family Advocate helps families navigate district processes, communicate concerns, access appropriate resources, and obtain timely follow-up while supporting positive relationships between families and the District.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordinating and implementing assigned district projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain project trackers, timelines, action items, records, and implementation documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact and advocate for families seeking assistance in navigating district systems and services.
  • Listen to family questions and concerns and assist families in identifying appropriate next steps.
  • Connect families with appropriate school personnel, district departments, programs, and community resources.
  • Facilitate communication between families and district personnel when additional coordination is needed.
  • Follow up on family concerns and referrals to help ensure appropriate responses and closure.
  • Help families understand district procedures, available supports, and appropriate channels for addressing concerns.
  • Identify recurring family concerns, service gaps, or communication barriers and report trends to the supervising administrator.
  • Support family engagement activities, parent meetings, informational sessions, outreach efforts, and district events.
  • Assist with developing family-friendly resources, forms, guides, procedures, and communications.
  • Prepare reports, meeting summaries, correspondence, presentations, and other administrative materials.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student, family, and district information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and or Master's degree preferred in education, social services, communications, public administration, business, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience working with families, schools, community organizations, public agencies, or administrative programs.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations professionally and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.
  • Experience working with families in an educational or community setting.
  • Experience in a public-school district.
  • Knowledge of community-based resources and family-support services.
  • Experience with family engagement, advocacy, conflict resolution, or project coordination.

Organizational Role

The Administrative Integration Specialist / Family Advocate serves as a bridge between families and the District. The position advocates for families by helping ensure their questions and concerns reach the appropriate personnel, assisting them in navigating district processes, and promoting timely communication and follow-through.

The Family Advocate does not replace principals, department administrators, established complaint procedures, or other decision-making authorities.

Position Purpose

To ensure families have an accessible, supportive connection to the District while strengthening communication, coordination, accountability, and follow-through between families, schools, and district departments.

Terms of Employment: Salary:

2026-2027 School Year Pending Board Approval

Part-Time, up to 20�25 hours per week, as assigned
