Job Role: Part-time Admin Assistant

Compensation range: $650AUD - $850 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement | Part-Time

Work Schedule: This role is expected to require roughly 16 hours per week (approximately 2 days per week). As a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your schedule, but availability for occasional collaboration during AU business hours is preferred.

Who The Client Is: Our client is a growing Australian domestic construction and Carpentry Services company specializing in residential building projects. They are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service, working closely with homeowners to bring their vision to life from new home builds and renovations to extensions and other residential construction projects.

We're looking for a proactive and highly organized Admin Assistant to support a growing Australian business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career with a business that values initiative, adaptability, and continuous learning.

The role will begin on a part-time basis (approximately 1–2 days per week) and offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time position as you become more involved in the business and demonstrate your ability to take ownership of responsibilities.

You'll work closely with the business owner, providing administrative support while also assisting with social media, CRM management, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage calendars, appointments, and scheduling.
• Prepare and send invoices and assist with general administrative tasks.
• Update and maintain CRM records accurately.
• Assist with social media scheduling, posting, and basic content coordination.
• Organize files, documents, and business records.
• Support day-to-day operational and administrative activities.
• Assist with research, data entry, and ad hoc projects.
• Explore and implement AI tools and automation opportunities to improve business processes.
• Take on additional responsibilities as the business grows.

Requirements

• Experience with administrative support or customer service.
• Experience with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Experience using CRM systems (or the ability to learn quickly).
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Exposure to Canva or other basic design tools is an advantage.
• Interest in AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot is highly regarded.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that may be set up as either an independent contractor engagement or via an Employer of Record (EOR), depending on client preferences and legal structure.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

• Be available for meetings and collaboration during core business hours
• Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
• Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor” if not employed via EOR)
