Job Description

A successful entrepreneur with a diverse portfolio of real estate assets and privately held businesses across multiple industries, including dispensaries, is seeking an experienced Part-Time Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping functions for multiple entities. This position will also include property administrative functions (10% of the time).

Schedule

• Part-time: 24 hours per week
• 3 days per week on-site in Hollywood, FL

What You'll Do

• Handle full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting using QuickBooks Desktop
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and journal entries
• Manage A/P, A/R and payroll
• Assist with month-end close and maintain accurate general ledgers
• Prepare financial information and supporting schedules for the outside CPA firm and annual tax returns
• Assist with new LLC formations, including research, documentation and coordination
• Maintain organized accounting records across multiple businesses and real estate assets
• Track important accounting, tax and business deadlines
• Handle special accounting, administrative, and financial projects for the owner as needed
• Serve as the administrative contact for tenants, vendors, contractors, and building service providers
• Obtain, compare, and negotiate bids for repairs, maintenance work, and ongoing service contracts; present recommendations to management for approval
• Maintain accurate records of vendor bills, contracts, receipts, and repairs

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of hands-on bookkeeping/accounting experience handling multiple entities
• Strong QuickBooks Desktop experience
• Experience with property admin functions is a huge plus
• A true self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
