Are you passionate about working outdoors and contributing to the care of high-quality parks and athletic facilities? The Parks Division is currently accepting applications for the position of Parks Worker II—a key role in maintaining the safety, appearance, and functionality of our city’s parks and open spaces.
This position is responsible for a wide range of park maintenance duties, including infield maintenance, irrigation, snow removal, minor construction, and general upkeep of park amenities. A major focus of this role involves athletic field programming, including the preparation and maintenance of baseball, softball, soccer, football, and lacrosse fields. This includes dragging, lining, painting, and setting up fields to ensure they are safe, functional, and ready for use by various community user groups. Weekend support for athletic events is an essential part of this role.

Work Hours:
Winter Schedule (November – February):
• Monday to Thursday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Friday: 6:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Spring, Summer, and Fall Schedule (March – October):
• Tuesday to Friday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Saturday: 5:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Essential Job Functions
Athletic Field Programming
Assists in promoting a safe work environment.
Maintains Athletic complexes and parks integrity through accepted infield maintenance practices.
Drags, lines, paints and setups baseball/softball/soccer/football/lacrosse fields at athletic complexes and parks as needed for all user groups.
Provides weekend support for user groups.
Frequently operates a personal or City-owned motor vehicle to drive to and from work locations throughout the City.
