The Parking Registration Coordinator supports the daily operations of the parking office by managing parking registrations, permits, customer accounts, and related administrative processes. This role provides front-line customer service to students, employees, visitors, and campus partners while maintaining accurate records, processing payments, coordinating permit distribution, and ensuring compliance with parking policies and accessibility accommodations. The coordinator assists with parking assignments, special event operations, reporting, and troubleshooting parking systems and account issues. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively with campus departments and transportation staff.

Hiring Range: $19.08 - $22.92 per hour

*Non-Exempt (hourly) positions under FLSA are eligible for overtime.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2+ years of experience in parking front office registration and/ or parking operations

    • In lieu of the experience requirement, additional related education, above and beyond what is required, may be substituted on an equivalent year-for-year basis.

Essential Functions:

  • Providing front desk and administrative support for the Parking Registration office

  • Processing parking registrations, permits, decals, and renewals

  • Maintaining parking databases and records for vehicles, permit holders, and assigned spaces

  • Assisting customers with parking applications, payments, account updates, and policy questions

  • Coordinating permit distribution and access credentials (hangtags, gate access, license plate registrations, etc.)

  • Monitoring permit eligibility and ensuring compliance with parking policies

  • Reconciling payments, generating reports, and supporting financial tracking for parking operations

  • Managing waitlists and allocations for high-demand parking areas

  • Supporting citation appeals or coordinating with enforcement staff regarding permit-related issues

  • Communicating parking updates, closures, special event impacts, and policy changes to campus or facility users

  • Assisting with special event parking logistics and temporary permit issuance

  • Collaborating with departments (such as Transportation, Public Safety, Housing & Dining, HR, or Facilities) as needed

  • Troubleshooting parking software, online registration portals, and customer account issues

  • Preparing usage statistics, occupancy reports, and operational summaries for leadership

  • Ensuring compliance with accessibility parking accommodations and institutional policies

  • Supporting onboarding processes for new employees, students, residents, or tenants requiring parking access

  • Providing front-line customer service through email, phone, walk-ins, or ticketing systems

  • Coordinating student and employee parking assignments by semester or academic year

  • Managing parking access tied to payroll deduction or student billing systems

  • Supporting move-in, commencement, athletic events, and large campus events

  • Working with the Transportation office to address mobility and parking concerns

  • Performs all other duties as assigned
