Provo City is looking for a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer to join our Development Services Team. Civic-minded, qualified applicants interested in supporting the Provo City community by performing the work described here are encouraged to apply.

What is the compensation?

$18.00 per hour. (Payment will be made by direct deposit.)

What will I do?

  • Patrol, on foot and/or by vehicle, designated areas for parking violations.

  • Safely operate department vehicles.

  • Cite violators.

  • Assist other team members as needed and perform other related duties as required.

What do I need to apply?

Provo City will honor equivalent epxerience.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • One year of experience in a customer service-related filed involving regular in-person interaction with members of the public.

  • A valid, lawful Driver License and acceptable driving record at the time of and through employment.

  • Experience in parking enforcement, specifically for a medium-to-large entity, city, or university is preferred.

What are the hours?

This position works 20 to 25 hours per week, Monday through Saturday. Schedule is flexible between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and will be determined with supervisor.

What is the selection process?

This position is open until filled and will be closed when sufficient, qualified applications to proceed with a competitive selection process have been received (at least seven days). Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.

If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
