About our Department:

The goal of the Parking is to provide adequate parking service by increasing the supply of available parking spaces, enforcement of parking ordinances and maintenance of parking facilities (garages) and equipment.

Parking Cashier Position at a Glance:

This is routine cashier and clerical work at a City parking facility. Work involves responsibility for operating a computerized cash register at a parking garage and receiving cash, validated tickets and parking passes. Operates a computerized cash register; receives tickets from patrons; calculates parking fees; receives cash payments and gives change; receives validated tickets and parking passes; maintains records of transactions.

Qualifications and Necessary Special Requirements:

High school diploma from a school accredited by a regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or GED certificate issued by the appropriate state agency and some experience as a cashier; or any combination of education, training and experience.
