THE ROLE

The Parking Attendant plays a critical role in creating both the first and last impression for guests visiting the Arena. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and organized flow of vehicles during entry and exit from the arena’s parking areas. The Parking attendants oversee traffic movement to support a smooth ingress and egress, helping to minimize congestion and maintain a positive guest experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide customer service to guests as they enter parking locations

· Assist guests with directions to other locations or the quickest entry points into the facility

· Ensure all vehicles are properly parked by vehicle permit

· Provide set up and break down of signage and traffic management equipment around assigned parking locations in compliance with the traffic management program

· Operate gate controlling arm.

· Ensure traffic does not back up during ingress and egress

· Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

· Minimum of 0-1 years of work experience required

· Employees must be 18 years of age or older

· Customer services experience preferred in a service industry

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

· Must be positive and outgoing person and able to work well with others

· Proven experience dealing with issues and conflict resolution

· Professional appearance required

· Excellent verbal and communication skills

· Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail

WORKING CONDITIONS

Location: Desert Diamond Arena

· This position will be exposed to adverse weather conditions.

· Physical requirements include the ability to effectively communicate verbally

· Manual dexterity, hand to eye coordination, and reaching required

· Long periods of standing and walking are required (must remain standing/walking during periods of ingress and egress)

· Flexibility to work long hours, nights, weekends and holidays
