The Car Parking Strategy & Operations Team is responsible for delivering Decriminalised Parking Enforcement (DPE) across Fife, ensuring compliance with Traffic Regulation Orders and supporting the safe, fair and consistent use of parking facilities. In addition to enforcement activity, the team manages and maintains car parks on behalf of Roads and Transportation Services, ensuring they are fit for purpose, safe to use and maintained to a standard that enables effective enforcement and supports positive user experience.
The Parking Attendants role includes:
Monitoring driver behaviour.
Completing routine and minor maintenance to parking equipment
Issuing Penalty Charge Notices to vehicles in contravention of a Traffic Regulation Order or legislation.
Providing a professional front-line service and assisting members of the public.
Travel throughout Fife which will include an extensive amount of walking.
Lone working in accordance with existing procedures
General inspecting and reporting of lining, signing and surface conditions while on patrol.
Shifts are 5 days over 7 pattern, with the earliest start time at 07:00 and the latest finish times at 19:00. Overtime may be available. Shifts will start and finish at Bankhead, Glenrothes with travel required throughout Fife during working hours.
Any unsociable hours worked are paid at the relevant enhanced rate.
