Job Description

Job Title: PARKING AMBASSADOR

Rate of Pay: $18.50/hr

Shift: Variable shifts 9Am-3Pm, 3Pm-9Pm, Event hours, Monday through Sunday

Full Time and Part Time/ Seasonal position

WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS REQUIRED

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

The Parking Ambassador is the first impression the guest has of the resort and creates an inviting, organized, and efficient sense of arrival for our guests. Their primary focus is on guest service and providing necessary information and directions for all Sundance guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet guests in a friendly and professional manner directing them to the appropriate parking lot for their needs.
  • Assist in maximizing the parking inventory for events and high-volume days by directing the guest into an individual parking stall.
  • Assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
  • Demonstrate knowledge about all aspects of the property including lodging, dining, shops, mountain recreation, events, activities, and their locations.
  • Provide helpful information about opportunities of the day including answering questions and giving directions to their desired venue.
  • Share the Sundance story of land preservation and environmental commitment as the occasion arises.
  • Pacify disgruntled guests utilizing exceptional people skills.
  • Recognize lodging and other resort issued parking passes and direct accordingly.
  • For lodging check-ins, obtain the guest's last name and radio to the front desk to contribute to a seamless arrival.
  • Direct guests and employees to suitable parking area to prevent congestion and promote exceptional guest service.
  • Operate radio to communicate with base and other vehicles.
  • Ensure cleanliness of parking lots and shuttles.

Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Use of a 2-way radio.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. Drivers' License in good standing as determined by Sundance's Insurance Company guidelines. Commercial Driver's License is preferred, but is not required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move 20 pounds, frequently required to lift and/or move 35 pounds, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
