The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developing and operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails.
The purpose of this position is to assist park staff in a variety of custodial/ clerical/ physical/ maintenance tasks to include answering the phone, conducting preventive maintenance to state park facilities, collecting litter and emptying the trash containers, training volunteers and new employees, cleaning various park buildings, operating and repairing equipment and performing grounds maintenance.
No experience or training required.

Location: Grand Isle State Park, Grand Isle, LA
Appointment Type: This position will be filled as a part-time Classified WAE, limited to 1,245 working hours in a 12 month period. **Starting Hourly Pay varies, depending on experience.**
Work Schedule: Part-time; Mon-Sun; Weekends and Holidays will be required.
