ELKHART COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL POSITION VACANCY NOTICE

PARK SERVICES I or II

DEPARTMENT: Elkhart County Parks & Recreation

HIRING RANGE: $23.35-$28.55/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

POSITION TO BE FILLED ASAP

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: 40 hours/week

LOCATION OF POSITION: OxBow Park/Other parks as assigned

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Between Parks (please complete driving page on application)

Responsibilities for maintaining park facilities, grounds, and equipment, and protecting park lands and visitors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of related work experience for Park I and 2 years of post-secondary education in related field for Park II
• Be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license
• Ability to operate various vehicles/equipment/tools in the performance of duties
• Working knowledge of and ability to make practical application of department policies and procedures, County ordinances, and applicable OHSA safety policies and procedures
• Ability to work professionally with the public and as a team with other staff
• Pre-employment background check and drug screen
