Holy Family Catholic Church, located in Randallstown, has an opportunity available for a Parish Secretary. This position manages parish administrative functions and supports the pastor in carrying out the parish mission. The Parish Secretary serves as a welcoming presence and assists all who participate in the life of the parish.
Holy Family Catholic Church is seeking candidates for a full‑time secretarial position in our parish office. This role greets and assists all who visit or call the parish office and provides support to parish ministries. The position reports directly to the Pastor and works alongside the Director of Parish Operations, the Director of Faith Formation, and parish volunteers. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Essential Functions
Performs secretarial duties for the Pastor, staff, and designated ministry members
Answers phone calls
Orders office supplies
Maintains the office calendar
Operates office machines and monitors their maintenance needs
Maintains sacramental records in record books and card files
Handles incoming and outgoing mail
Schedules and oversees count teams
Orders church supplies as needed
Coordinates bookkeeping items
Generates and mails end‑of‑year statements
Manages the parishioner database
Updates and proofs the weekly bulletin and coordinates timely delivery
Performs other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
Practicing Catholic preferred
Thorough understanding of the Catholic faith
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated discretion and sound judgment in serving those who seek assistance and in maintaining confidentiality
Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, staff, and volunteers
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of three years of administrative experience in a non‑profit or church setting
Pay Range $16.13 - 18.74, Hourly
