About the job

Role location: Slacks Creek and Outreach offices

Role type: Permanent, full-time

Pay range: $76,610 to $82,169 a year based on experience, with salary packaging exempt from Fringe Benefits Tax available

In this role you will:

Be a dedicated, practical Mentor who aims to inspire and support parents of young children in setting and achieving their work and education goals. In the Parent Pathways program, you’ll help individuals thrive by providing tailored guidance and linking them to vital resources and opportunities.

About you

Aside from meeting the key capabilities outlined in the related role description available from the link below, you’ll be a great fit if:

• Relevant experience and qualifications (minimum of Certificate III or IV relevant qualifications for Junior Mentors and at least Diploma level for Senior Mentors) that showcase your dedication to supporting vulnerable individuals.

• Proven ability to build meaningful connections with those facing disadvantage and trauma, helping them on their journey to recovery.

• Tech-savvy and quick to master new systems, ensuring you’re always one step ahead.

• Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities in employment and training for parents, empowering them to overcome barriers.

• Dependable and self-driven, ready to work independently at various outreach locations across Logan once trained.

• Experience in employment services is a bonus, but your passion for helping others is what truly sets you apart.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
