Job Description

The Parent Outreach Support position is grant-funded. Individuals holding this position will work up to 115 days per school year and earn $15.00 per hour. ($15 x 3 hours per day x 115 days = $5,175)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Appropriate verbal and written language skills in Spanish and English
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job
• Ability to use basic job-related equipment.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of school administration and administrative support staff, a qualified individual will assist the school team in communicating with parents, making phone calls, sending emails and other notifications to ensure parent participation and receipt of important school information.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains confidentiality regarding all aspects of work with students and other staff.
• Maintains and updates records of student progress, attendance, test scores and/or personal information as requested.
• Participates in all meetings, and professional development activities as assigned by the building or district administrator.
• Supports and implements District policies and procedures, regulations, and administrative directives.
• Adheres to the ethical standards and codes of the profession and to the established rules, and regulations.
• Performs other related duties as may be directed by the building or district administrator.
