To assist in meeting the social service needs of families with Early Childhood Education students, by providing targeted services, including encouraging parental involvement in their children’s education, explaining programs and procedures, providing support in locating community resources, participating constructively in parental group meetings and performing other related duties.

On a daily basis, the Parent Educator assists families with Early Childhood Education students to identify and meet their social service needs by providing targeted services and encourage parental involvement to meet the needs of the student population
Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment, shall be those established by the School Board.
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy.
In accordance with School Board policy 4010, it is requested that the education, experience and skill qualifications outlined in the job description adopted by the School Board on December 18, 2018, be waived for actively employed Parent Educators – Head Start/Early Intervention who held the position prior to November 7, 2016. In accordance with performance standards outlined by Head Start, employees hired or transferring into the Parent Educator – Head Start/Early Intervention position on or after November 7, 2016 must meet the minimum requirements outlined in the job description.
