About the Team
Under general supervision of the Head of School, the Instructional Paraprofessional performs a variety of duties, including providing specialized educational assistance, assisting and supporting the teacher in carrying out the objectives of the educational programs and lessons. The Instructional Paraprofessional may work with individual students or a group of students with special needs, assisting the teacher with instructional responsibilities to ensure compliance with pertinent State of Colorado and Federal educational requirements.

Physical Demands:
This position may be physically demanding at times. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and to reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to reach, bend, sit and stoop. The employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. Employee must be willing and able to physically restrain a child if/when needed.

The annual starting hourly rate for this full-time non-exempt position starts at $20.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
