Our Alternative Education Program is seeking a steady, student ‑centered para ‑professional who can support instruction, maintain a positive classroom environment, and work closely with teachers to help students succeed.

💼 What You’ll Do

• Support classroom instruction under the direction of licensed teaching staff

• Provide one ‑on ‑one and small ‑group academic assistance

• Help maintain a structured, supportive, and trauma ‑informed learning environment

• Assist with behavior support, redirection, and relationship ‑building

• Supervise students during transitions, breaks, and other non ‑instructional times

• Support documentation, attendance, and basic administrative tasks

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs

🎓 What You Bring

• High School diploma or equivalent (required)

• Active Indiana Substitute Teacher License or the ability to obtain one (preferred)

• Strong communication, patience, and relationship ‑building skills

• Ability to remain calm, consistent, and supportive with students who may struggle in traditional settings

• A team ‑oriented mindset and willingness to learn new strategies
