Job Description

As a key member of the team, you'll be responsible for preparing detailed client reports, undertaking technical research, supporting complex financial planning cases, and working closely with Advisers and support colleagues to ensure a seamless client experience.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Preparing and delivering high-quality suitability reports and annual review documentation for clients.
  • Providing technical support to Financial Planning Advisers across a wide range of financial planning matters.
  • Conducting product and technical research to support client recommendations.
  • Gathering, maintaining and updating client information using Intelligent Office and other systems.
  • Supporting the annual review process by providing accurate and timely information.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and third-party providers.
  • Working closely with administration teams to ensure efficient client service delivery.
  • Managing your workflow effectively while meeting deadlines and service standards.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of paraplanning processes and best practices.
  • Producing and assisting with management information and reporting requirements.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members, sharing technical knowledge and expertise.
  • Maintaining compliance with FCA regulations, internal policies, and Anti-Money Laundering requirements.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Extensive paraplanning experience, ideally supporting High Net Worth clients.
  • A strong technical understanding across all areas of financial planning.
  • CII Level 4 qualification as a minimum, with active progression towards Level 6 and Chartered status.
  • Experience using financial planning tools, cashflow modelling software, and research systems.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate client reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and the confidence to work independently.
  • Previous experience mentoring or coaching junior colleagues.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Desirable:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent qualification.
  • Chartered Financial Planner status, or significant progress towards achieving it.
