Paramedicine Full-Time Faculty, 12-month
The Department of Paramedicine at Creighton University invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure track, full-time faculty position on the Omaha campus.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, clinical, teaching, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting student success, patient safety, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities include classroom and laboratory instruction, student advising and evaluation, and participation in program quality assurance. Faculty contribute to curriculum and program development, assessment, student recruitment, strategic planning, continuing education, and EMS innovation. Opportunities may also include teaching in satellite paramedicine programs and graduate-level education, depending on educational preparation and teaching experience.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship (including research, publications, and presentations), professional engagement, and service, in accordance with College and University standards for rank.
Qualified candidates will have a master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree with a commitment to pursue and complete a graduate degree within a mutually agreed-upon timeframe.
Candidates must have a minimum of five years of patient care experience in emergency or critical care, including experience in the delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care, and at least three years of experience teaching health- or medical-related content.
Candidates must possess or be eligible for National Registry Paramedic certification and licensure as a paramedic and EMS instructor in the State of Nebraska.
Current provider and instructor certifications in BLS and ACLS. In addition PALS, PEPP, AMLS, ITLS, and PHTLS preferred.
