WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Conduct home and clinic visits with at-risk mothers and infants in Jasper and Newton Counties.
Act as a patient advocate and alert provider to changes in mom or baby that require elevated care.
Administer patient care consistent with department protocols and physician orders.
Act as a physician extender by observing, recording, and reporting via the electronic medical records system.
Offer education on topics such as safe sleep, car seat safety and infant safety in the home, while assessing potential dangers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required High School Diploma/GED
Required to have either anAssociate's Degree in Nursing OR Associate's Degree in Paramedics OR Certificate in EMT or Paramedics
Required to have either two (2) years of nursing experience OR two (2) years of paramedic experience OR five (5) years of EMT experience
Required to be Basic Life Support (BLS) certified - American Heart Association
Required Drivers License - Drivers License
