Serves as Shift Lead for assigned shift. The Paramedic Lead is responsible for the day-to-day work of others. Provides emergency medical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Sets goals, assigns tasks, delegates duties, with clear definitions of success as well as targets. Disseminates information, reviews policies and procedures, ensures quality and communicates with EMS leadership and assigned shift personnel. Helps facilitates the integration of new employees to the team. Responsible for assisting with employee performance appraisals, employee discipline and recognition of achievements. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must have a minimum of three years of experience working on an emergency response ambulance. Previous supervisor experience preferred.
The Paramedic Lead must maintain Paramedic license with the State of Arkansas, Nationally Registered Paramedic preferred. The candidate must also posses American Heart Association certifications for BLS for Healthcare Provider, Pediatric Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
