Job Description
Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. Reynolds is currently seeking Paramedic Lab Instructors provide hands-on lab instruction and skill validation for students enrolled in Emergency Medical Services ( EMS) programs, including EMT and Paramedic levels. Ensures compliance with National EMS Education Standards, Virginia OEMS regulations, and program accreditation requirements. Supports students in mastering cognitive, psychomotor, and affective competencies in preparation for field internships and certification exams.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.


KSA's/Required Qualifications
  • Nationally Registered Paramedic, and/or VA –Paramedic Certification or higher with 1-3 years progressive field experienceas a Paramedicin the emergency setting or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Paramedic course content and emergency medical protocols
  • Effective instructional and communication skills Ability to assess student learning and provide constructive feedback
  • Familiarity with the National EMS Education Standards and VA OEMS regulations
  • Professionalism and a commitment to student-centered instruction
  • Teaching experience in a supportive or primary role as a EMTParamedic

Additional Considerations
  • Virginia Education Coordinator (EC) certification. ACLS, PHTLS, AMLS, PALSEPC Certification or Instructor. NAEMSE
  • Teaching experience.
