The Paramedic provides advanced life support, emergency medical care, and safe patient transportation in pre-hospital and inter-facility settings. This role is responsible for rapid assessment, intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes. Performs other duties as assigned. All job responsibilities are to be carried out in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved Paramedic training program as required by the Ohio Department of Public Safety.Prior experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is typically required to enter Paramedic training; no additional experience required for entry-level Paramedic role.Current Ohio EMT certification from the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Medical Services; valid driver's license; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
One or more years of experience as a practicing Paramedic in emergency medical services or healthcare transport. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic certification.
