Emergency Medical Services Overview:
Covenant Health Emergency Medical Services (EMS) ensures rapid response with specially trained personnel and a fleet of vehicles that are equipped with cutting-edge technology. The Covenant Health EMS team improves patient care and outcomes, supports post-discharge planning, and enhances community engagement. Working closely with all Covenant medical centers as well as several non-Covenant facilities, our EMS team ensures that advanced-level transport options are available when needed.
The Community/Mobile Integrated Health (CP/MIH) Paramedic functions within Covenant Health Mobile-Integrated Health Programs and the Covenant Health EMS System. This involves establishing remote monitoring technology, conducting physical assessments, medication reconciliation, assisting with medication administration, working in collaboration with an RN (who functions as the patients' primary nurse) and provider team (that is responsible for the ongoing oversight and care of the patient), serving as their hands, eyes, and ears
