SLF Lawyers are excited to be recruiting for our Commercial Litigation & Insolvency practice in Queensland.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Paralegal / Senior Paralegal to join our Commercial Litigation and Insolvency team, based in either our Gold Coast office or our Brisbane office (or both).

Your new role

You will bring a positive and proactive approach to exceptional client service and producing high quality work. Your variety of work will include:

• Delivering high quality, accurate work while managing deadlines and competing priorities.
• Taking carriage of commercial and financial recovery matters.
• Letters of demand, claims and statement of claims, and applications for default judgment for debt recovery matters, under the supervision of Senior Lawyers and Partners.
• Post judgment debt recovery and enforcement, including enforcement hearings, bankruptcy notices, warrants to seize and sell property, writs, garnishees.
• Producing high quality work for recovery files and achieving turnaround times in a methodical, efficient and professional way.
• Utilising client portals and communicating with clients to provide status updates and seeking instructions.
• Assisting with establishing effective work practices to ensure budget and recovery targets are met.
• General administration such as softcopy and hardcopy filing, archiving, photocopying, scanning and email correspondence.

You will bring to the role:

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in commercial litigation and general commercial debt recovery work
• A proactive, pragmatic and client-focused approach
• Exceptional communication and client service
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Confidence in your communications and the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues
• Confidence with a range of technology and in learning new systems
• Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
• Experience using practice management systems
  (including Actionstep) highly regarded but not essential
