Job Description

PIPD paralegal:

We are seeking a motivated, organised, and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our litigation team. The successful candidate will assist our lawyers in handling contentious personal injury and property damage matters, including court proceedings arising from road traffic accidents, workplace accidents, public liability claims, and insurance disputes.

This role is suited for individuals who are able to manage multiple files, keep track of deadlines, communicate effectively with clients, and work in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lawyers in the conduct and management of personal injury and property damage litigation matters;
  • Monitor and manage court timelines, hearing dates, filing deadlines, and compliance with Court directions;
  • Draft and prepare court documents, including pleadings, affidavits, submissions, Notices, Lists of Documents, and correspondence;
  • Prepare and organise court bundles, authorities bundles, and trial documents;
  • Liaise regularly with clients to obtain instructions, documents, medical records, income records, and other supporting evidence;
  • Correspond with opposing solicitors, insurers, medical institutions, government agencies, and other relevant parties;
  • Review, organise, and summarise medical records, medical reports, survey reports, repair invoices, police reports, and other documentary evidence;
  • Assist lawyers in preparing matters for Court hearings, mediations, Pre-Trial Conferences, Assessments of Damages, and trials;
  • Conduct legal and factual research where required;
  • Attend client meetings where necessary;
  • Maintain accurate physical and electronic files and ensure all matters are properly diarised and managed;
  • Perform other litigation and administrative support duties as required.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in litigation, personal injury, insurance, or property damage matters will be an advantage;
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently under pressure;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up proactively on outstanding matters;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Able to work independently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.

Disputes Paralegal:

We are seeking a motivated, meticulous, and proactive Paralegal to join our growing legal team. The successful candidate will provide support to our lawyers across a broad range of criminal, civil, and family law matters, assisting in the effective management of cases from inception to conclusion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lawyers in the conduct and management of all matters;
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries, chronologies, and briefing materials;
  • Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, submissions, witness statements, correspondence, and other court documents;
  • Manage and maintain case files, ensuring compliance with court timelines, deadlines, and procedural requirements;
  • Liaise professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and relevant authorities;
  • Prepare and file court documents through the relevant electronic filing systems;
  • Attend court proceedings, mediations, and client meetings where required;
  • Organise, review, and manage documentary evidence and records;
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure the proper handling of sensitive information;
  • Provide administrative and operational support to lawyers as required.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment will be an advantage;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work effectively under pressure;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
