Key Responsibilities The Financial Crimes Intelligence Center (FCIC) operates as a centralized reporting hub for banking and financial institutions, as well as the public, staffed by a multidisciplinary team including financial crime investigators, prosecutors, analysts, and forensic accountants. The FCIC’s collaborative and centralized approach enables the identification and resolution of criminal activity patterns across various financial institutions, thereby enhancing public safety. The Paralegal position within the FCIC is responsible for providing high-level support to the FCIC team, focusing on case management, legal research, document drafting, and trial preparation. This role requires strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to work effectively within a professional team environment, and the capacity to manage complex caseloads immediately upon hire. The position is based in Salt Lake City, with occasional travel throughout Utah necessary for litigation and case-related proceedings. Preferred qualifications include at least five years of experience in criminal practice or equivalent paralegal roles, significant experience supporting complex financial fraud cases, and demonstrated expertise in legal research, case management, and handling high-impact legal projects. Responsibilities: The FCIC paralegal position demands advanced skills, independent decision-making, and the ability to handle complex legal tasks and effective case management in support of the Center's mission.
