This role will be based in our Miami office.
Greenberg Traurig is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its Real Estate Practice for the Miami office. The role will support attorneys working on complex commercial real estate transactions and closings. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week); candidates should also be flexible to work overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Assists attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions from contracts and loan commitments through closing and post-closing.
Assists with commercial real estate due diligence, including title and survey reviews, title objection letters, lease reviews, municipal lien searches, and UCC, judgment, litigation and lien searches.
Prepares organizational documents and assists with entity formation.
Prepares closing checklists, critical dates timelines, title commitments, title policies, closing statements, title and other affidavits, entity authorizations, customary closing documentation, etc.
Responsible for closing binders and assists with other aspects of the transactions as needed, both locally and nationally.

Skills & Competencies
Ability to communicate professionally and interact effectively with attorneys, clients, title companies, lenders, governmental agencies, and all levels of personnel, including management and support staff.
Strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions, including title and survey review, due diligence, entity formation, and closing procedures.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to be a proactive self-starter who understands transaction details within the broader context of client objectives and deal strategy.
Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet strict deadlines.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Experience preparing technically proficient written communications and transaction documentation with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
Excellent client service skills and ability to build effective working relationships with clients, attorneys, and external parties.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond positively to changing priorities, transaction timelines, and client needs.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure while managing high-volume transactional work and meeting critical closing deadlines.
Education & Prior Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and Certificate in Paralegal studies from an accredited institution preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience as a commercial real estate paralegal at a medium to large sized law firm, commercial title insurance company or other professional services environment.
Technology
Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and other informational databases required.
Proficiency with WebAtids, DisplaySoft and Propel programs preferred.
Demonstrates a basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI), including core capabilities, limitations, and importance of data privacy, accuracy, verification, and ethical considerations within a professional services environment
Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools) and incorporate them responsibly into day-to-day workflows to enhance daily work tasks as appropriate and/or directed
Proactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging AI and related technologies and contributes to a culture of innovation
