Dentons Australia has a fantastic opportunity in our Perth, Recovery and Restructuring practice, on a full-time permanent basis. About the role

In this role, you will act on behalf of several of Australia's major banks and non-bank lenders on secured and unsecured recovery matters. The work is of a fast-paced nature and will see you having the responsibility of managing a portfolio of files. You will also work alongside lawyers in the team with an emphasis on compliance and quality assurance.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Start to end file management;
• Preparing and issuing legal documents, including statutory notices and court documents;
• Acting as first point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communications via specialised online web-based portal;
• Outbound and inbound calls with defaulting customers, including liaising directly with customers in relation to sensitive financial matters with the aim to come to suitable arrangements; and
• Working with lawyers to progress matters through Courts.

About you

The successful candidate must:

• Be well organised, with strong time-management and prioritisation skills;
• Can work independently, whilst also in a friendly team environment under supportive partners, with on-the-job training to help you along the way;
• Be self-motivated and driven, with a professional outlook;
• Be able to work under pressure and deal with sensitive matters in a timely manner;
• Have superior drafting skills and strong attention to detail; and
• Have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with a professional phone manner.

Prior law firm experience is not a pre-requisite although applicants with secured or unsecured recoveries experience will be favourably considered. Law students should only apply if they have 2 years (or more) left on their degree and they can commit to full time working hours.
