Job Description

A growing legal practice is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to support attorneys in a busy family law environment. This role will assist with case preparation, client communication, document drafting, and court filings. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting involving sensitive matters.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
• Prepare financial affidavits and assist with document collection
• Organize and maintain case files, both electronic and physical
• Coordinate court filings and ensure compliance with deadlines
• Communicate with clients regarding case status and document needs
• Schedule hearings, mediations, and attorney meetings
• Assist with trial preparation, exhibits, and witness coordination
• Track billable time and support general administrative tasks

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Paralegal certification preferred but not required
• 2+ years of paralegal experience, ideally within family law
• Familiarity with divorce, custody, support, and equitable distribution matters
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of discretion and professionalism
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software
