Job Description

Roosevelt Early Learning Center is seeking candidates for a Paraeducator - Preschool position.

About the Preschool Program:

Under the direction of a Preschool Teacher and/or Related Service Provider, the Paraeducator assists with instructional activities and individual student supports (academic, social-emotional/behavioral and physical assistance). A Preschool Paraeducator participates in the diapering and room sanitation duties. The Paraeducator may also be required to assist with activities of daily living including, but not limited to, lifting, positioning, feeding, and toileting.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

• A minimum of 60 college credits, or
• A passing score on the ParaPro Assessment

Salary

• Starting Salary: $21.70 per hour

• Official, legible college transcripts showing at least 60 college credits, or
• Official ParaPro Assessment test scores
• Application Requirement for Preschool Positions:
  Requires 12 college credits in Early Childhood Education or a current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
