Job Summary: Under the direction of the Building Administrator is responsible for supporting the elementary educational process. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description. This is a temporary position for the 2026-2027 school year.

Special Duties/Responsibilities: This position will support K-6 students in small groups and 1:1 instructional settings.

Salary Range: $27.38 - $31.13 Paraeducator A per 2026-27 Public School Employees Salary Schedule.

Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation.

Work Schedule:

  • Start Date: September 14, 2026
  • Shift: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Paid Hours: 3 hours per day
  • Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time off during spring break, winter break and summer, plus 10 paid holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent, and meet one (1) of the following:
  • Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
  • Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university; or
  • Passed one of the following Professional Educator Standards Board approved assessments:
  • ETS ParaPro Assessment Score of 455 or higher (https://www.ets.org/parapro)
  • Para Pathways Score of 324 in Reading and Writing and a Score of 325 in Mathematics
  • Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment Score of 220 or higher
  • Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Training Program Score of 65% or higher
  • Upon hire, must complete the Fundamental Course of Study (FCS)-Paraeducator Certificate.
  • Ability to meet the qualifications as listed on the job description for this position.
