Our award-winning client is seeking a Paper Assistant Superintendent to join their team.The Assistant Paper Machine Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing the operations of a paper machine to achieve production, quality, and safety goals. This role involves overseeing shift supervisors, coordinating with maintenance teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Drive safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Monitor and optimize key operating parameters to improve efficiency and quality.
• Lead problem-solving efforts to resolve runnability and quality issues.
• Manage and develop shift supervisors and operators.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Promote standardized work practices and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule and execute equipment repairs and upgrades.
• Ensure timely and effective communication between operations and maintenance.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
• Utilize data analysis to drive decision-making and problem-solving.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in paper machine operations.
• 3+ years of experience as a paper machine supervisor.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of paper machine processes and equipment.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (preferred).
