The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Panel Beater to join the team at Wales Heavy Repairs Adelaide, Kilburn.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged heavy motor vehicles, ensuring that they are returned to their original condition.

Role responsibilities

  • Check received parts are correct and for defects
  • Removing, repairing or replacing damaged panels, frames, and other components
  • Using various tools and techniques to shape, cut, and weld metal panels
  • Ensuring that all work performed meets industry and safety standards
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and repair techniques
  • Disassemble vehicle as per Job Sheet
  • Repair vehicle as per the Repair Method, OEM standards and in accordance with Estimate and Job Sheet
  • Reassemble vehicle
  • Handle all vehicles with due care and attention
  • Handle all company tools and equipment with due care and attention ensuring they remain safe, clean and in a workable condition
  • Adhere to our OH&S policy including PPE

Does this sound like you?

  • Proven experience as a Panel Beater and qualification (Essential)
  • Proficiency in the use of various tools and equipment for repairing and restoring heavy vehicle bodies and frames
  • Strong knowledge of industry and safety standards
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
