This contract BeyondTrust/PAM Engineer role supports a large federal agency in protecting digital identities, network assets, hosted applications, and data within a large-scale IT environment. The engineer will implement cybersecurity strategies using tools such as BeyondTrust, Okta, Splunk, Active Directory, and Python for automation. The role requires seasoned IT security expertise, hands-on technical skills, and strong communication and planning abilities. It's a high-impact opportunity to shape identity and access security within a major federal agency.

This is a multi-year contract position involving a large US federal agency. Candidates with previous federal contracting experience are preferred. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. If hired, all work related to this role must be performed within the continental U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement cybersecurity strategies to protect digital identities and network assets.
  • Utilize BeyondTrust and Okta for identity and access management.
  • Develop and manage Splunk knowledge objects.
  • Perform Windows and Linux system administration.
  • Script and automate processes using Python.
  • Manage directory services, including Active Directory.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to influence and implement security measures.
  • Prepare and interpret flowcharts and technical documentation.
  • Build and maintain project schedules and action plans.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT security experience in a large enterprise environment.
  • Experience with PAM solutions and identity/access management.
  • Accredited college degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Technical certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, GIAC, RHCE, CPTE, or CEH are beneficial.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Skill(s)

  • Proficiency with BeyondTrust and Okta.
  • Experience with Splunk and knowledge object development.
  • Windows and Linux system administration skills.
  • Python scripting and automation expertise.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain schedules and action plans.
