Job Description

The Department of Medicine, Division of Palliative Care invites applications for a Faculty position within Medicine in the area of Palliative Care. This position will share time between three affiliate hospitals in Dansville (Nicholas Noyes), Wellsville (Jones Memorial) and Hornell (St. James). Duties will include:Patient care, teaching, administrative duties, community outreach, and University-related public service.The exact distribution of these responsibilities will vary from time to time according to University, department, and division needs, your interests, and your career trajectory.In general, this application will be expected to be a productive member of the University community, whether productivity is measured by patient care, teaching, and administrative service

Qualifications

M.D. Degree or equivalent

Must obtain a New York State Medical License prior to start date

Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry

Must meet all credentialing requirements

Eligible for Board Certification in Hospice/Palliative Medicine (agreement to become board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine within two years of hire)

Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required

Compliance with University and New York State health requirements

The referenced pay range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries. Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
