As a Palletizing Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the palletizing area to ensure that finished product pallets are accurately stacked, labeled, staged, and moved efficiently. You will serve as the point of contact for the palletizing team and work closely with forklift drivers, inventory personnel, and production line staff to support a smooth end-of-line operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Lead and guide palletizers and pallet jack operators in stacking, labeling, and organizing finished pallets according to product specifications.
· Monitor workflow and prioritize tasks to keep up with production pace.
· Ensure that pallet configurations, labeling, and quality meet internal and customer standards.
· Collaborate with Inventory and Shipping teams to ensure accurate pallet tracking and staging.
· Communicate effectively with line supervisors and forklift drivers to resolve issues and maintain a steady product flow.
· Train new palletizing staff on safety protocols, packing requirements, and equipment use.
· Conduct regular checks to ensure that pallets are properly wrapped, labeled, and positioned.
· Assist in identifying and reporting damaged packaging, labeling errors, or pallet issues.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with GMPs and safety standards.
Requirements
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or GED required.
· Minimum 2 years of experience in a palletizing or warehouse role, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
· Experience in a fresh fruit or perishable product facility preferred.
Skills
· Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
· Knowledge of palletizing patterns, labeling standards, and food safety protocols.
· Effective verbal and written communication.
· Ability to lift to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
