Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of chargehands, assistant supervisors and sub-contractors to perform on-site hull painting, cleaning and ‘O’ level task activities
• Assist in manpower and resource scheduling and deployment, daily man hour returns and coordinate in all aspects of site issues
• Update daily manpower deployment record and over time
• Liaise with owners and paint representative and surveyor on complying with paint specification and requirements
• Attend the daily VSCC meeting if necessary
• Obtain entry into confined space permits or any other work permit system.
• Inspect and update check list
• Monitor job progress and ensure quality work at targeted schedule
• Prepare reports on job status and project completion
• Inspect vessels and ensure proper handling over to customers
• Liaise and coordinate with other departments on project issues
• Update weekly progress and attend meeting

Requirements:

• NTC/Diploma in any Engineering field
• At least 5 years working experience in a shipyard or similar environment
• Possess FROSIO, SSPC or NACE would be advantageous
• Knowledge of Blasting and Painting operation
• Able to interpret technical drawings and paint specifications
• Able to make decision, render judgment and take appropriate actions
• Able to work under pressure and respond to changes on short notice

• Location: 55 Gul Road (Island-wide transport provided)
• 5 days work week
• Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
