Position: Painting Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Painting Supervisor to oversee painting and blasting activities in ship repair industry. The role involves managing a team, ensuring quality and safety standards, and meeting project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

Team Supervision:

• Lead and manage a team of painters and blasters.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and enforce safety standards.

Technical Oversight

• Inspect surfaces before and after painting for proper preparation and coating.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.

Cost and KPI Awareness

• Track and optimize material usage and labor productivity.
• Monitor KPIs such as defect rates, material wastage, and project timelines.

Safety and Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols and train staff on equipment and PPE usage.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Material and Equipment Management

• Monitor inventory of paints and consumables.
• Maintain and ensure proper use of painting equipment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in painting, coating technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in marine painting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of painting processes, surface preparation, and coating systems.
• Familiarity with ISO, SSPC, or NACE standards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• AED 6,000 8,000 Max.
